“It is an invitation to look within ourselves.”
child: THE MUFFED ECHO is the metaphor for our original essence, that inner child seeking to be heard.
Our original essence defines us at birth: a pure and unaltered state. However, the passage of time, the environment, social structures, family, gender, etc., and even our own projections gradually weave strata; layers that conceal and transform that primal purity. Although these strata can either propel us forward or bury us, our current identity is nothing more than the sum of those layers superimposed on an essence that endures in the deepest depths.
Over time, we numb that inner voice that demands presence and action; we relegate it to oblivion and, even when it resonates, it remains confined to the trunk of memories, and we choose not to listen.
This exhibition proposes a reconciliation: an invitation to reconnect with that latent child, to listen to its echo, and to grant it the space and care it legitimately deserves.
Through this project, Sintora invites you to ask yourself the following question:
“If you could connect with your inner child, what do you think they would tell you?”

CONCEPTO:
"Es una invitación a mirar dentro de nosotros."
NIÑO: el eco sordo es la metáfora de nuestra esencia original, ese niño interior que busca ser escuchado.
Nuestra esencia original nos define al nacer: un estado puro e inalterado. Sin embargo, el paso del tiempo, el entorno, las estructuras sociales, la familia, el género, etc e incluso nuestras propias proyecciones van tejiendo estratos; capas que ocultan y transforman esa pureza primigenia. Si bien estos estratos pueden impulsarnos o sepultarnos, la identidad actual no es más que la suma de esas capas superpuestas sobre una esencia que resiste en lo más profundo.
Con el tiempo, anestesiamos esa voz interior que reclama presencia y acción; la relegamos al olvido y, aun cuando resuena, esta sometida al baúl de los recuerdos y elegimos no escucharla.
Esta exposición propone una reconciliación: una invitación a reconectar con ese niño latente, a escuchar su eco y a otorgarle el espacio y el cuidado que legítimamente merece.

THE OPENING NIGHT
The project child: THE MUFFED ECHO was conceived as an immersive and process-based experience that reached its culmination and came fully to life on the night of its opening. It was not merely about observing the artworks, but about inhabiting a space transformed into a temple of memory and reunion.
Upon crossing the threshold, visitors were welcomed by the dense and solemn aroma of incense, evoking the mystical and contemplative atmosphere of a cathedral. This sensory stimulus prepared both body and mind for silence.
Following a brief introduction to the concept by Sintora, the climax of the opening arrived with the first intervention by double bass soloist María García Márquez, whose music resonated through the space before giving way to the recitation of “The Litany of the Muffled Echo” created by the artist and performed by Marian Herrero Uña, voice of the podcast “Por la senda del Arte” and PhD in Art History from the University of Salamanca(Spain).
This sacred, almost ritualistic act served as a definitive bridge between the materiality of the artworks and the immateriality of memory. It became a collective invitation for those present to look inward and listen to the latent echoes of their own inner child.
From that moment on, Sintora began unveiling the pieces one by one. In a sepulchral silence, visitors patiently waited their turn to experience each work individually.
A magical and ritualistic atmosphere permeated the space, leaving a profound impression on every visitor.
¿What is a LITANY?
A form of ritual invocation or communal supplication composed of a series of repetitive phrases and responses. In the artistic and spiritual realm, the litany acts as a mantra: a rhythmic structure that, through repetition, suspends time, elevates the atmosphere, and immerses us in a state of deep meditation and contemplation.
LA NOCHE DE LA INAUGURACION
El proyecto NIÑO: EL ECO SORDO fue concebido como una experiencia inmersiva y procesual que culminó y cobró plena vida en la noche de su inauguración. No se trataba meramente de observar las piezas, sino de habitar un espacio transformado en un templo para la memoria y el reencuentro.
Al cruzar el umbral, los visitantes eran recibidos por el denso y solemne aroma de incienso, evocando la atmósfera mística y reflexiva de una catedral. Este estímulo sensorial preparaba tanto el cuerpo como la mente para el silencio.
Tras una breve explicación del concepto por Sintora, el clímax de la apertura llegó con la primera intervención de la solista de contrabajo María García Márquez, cuya música rompió el espacio antes de dar paso a la recitación de "La letanía del Eco Sordo", creada por el artista, en la voz de Marian Herrero Uña, voz del Podcast "Por la senda del Arte" y Doctora en Historia del Arte por la Universidad de Salamanca. Esta acción sagrada, casi ritual, actuó como un puente definitivo entre la materialidad de las obras y la inmaterialidad de la memoria. Fue una invitación colectiva para que los presentes miraran hacia dentro, escucharan los ecos latentes de su propio niño interior.
A partir de ese momento Sintora comenzó a mostrar las piezas una a una, donde en un silencio sepulcral los visitantes tuvieron que ir esperando su turno para visualizar cada pieza.
Una atmósfera mágica y ritual que caló profundamente en cada uno de los visitantes.
¿Qué es una LETANÍA?
Una forma de invocación ritual o súplica comunitaria compuesta por una serie de frases y respuestas repetitivas. En el ámbito artístico y espiritual, la letanía actúa como un mantra: una estructura rítmica que, mediante la repetición, detiene el tiempo, eleva la atmósfera y nos sumerge en un estado de profunda meditación y contemplación.
