For this group exhibition organized by the Aplama Artists Association, the Department of Culture, and the Málaga Provincial Council, Sintora presented the photograph Axioma, a self-portrait belonging to the Epiphenomenon project.

CONCEPT:
This is a visual exploration of the layers that shape us —social, cultural, familial— layers that are superimposed over our original essence, as if we were an onion. This construction distances us from who we truly are.
SYMBOLISMS AND MEANINGS:
In this piece, a self-portrait, a large X covers Sintora’s face. This symbol can be interpreted from two complementary angles:
1. Inner denial: a rejection of everything that distorts our inner truth, born from the deepest part of ourselves.
2. Outer denial: everything that is forbidden or denied by external forces —society, education, religion, morality— that condition our identity.
The title, Axiom, refers to an absolute truth that cannot be proven or questioned, one that remains unchangeable even when ignored or rejected. In this work, the axiom represents the original essence of being —what we are before being molded or domesticated— and is embodied by Sintora.
Around the image, I have written a psalm in a cyclical form, with no beginning and no end. It is not intended as a religious act, but rather as a visual meditation. This psalm represents the constant, perpetual, and circular search for our essential and original truth.
Through this work, Sintora invites reflection:
What part of ourselves is truly authentic?
What have we denied or been forbidden to be?
What must we break or strip away to reconnect with our inner truth?

A psalm is a poetic text of a sacred nature used to express devotion, gratitude, or spiritual reflection.
Para esta exposición colectiva organizada por la Asociación de artistas Aplama, la Delegación de Cultura y la Diputación de Málaga, Sintora presentó la fotografía AXIOMA, un autoretrato perteneciente al proyecto Epiphainomenon.

CONCEPTO:
Es una exploración visual de las capas que nos moldean —sociales, culturales, familiares—, capas que se van superponiendo sobre nuestra esencia original, como si fuésemos una cebolla. Esta construcción nos aleja de quienes verdaderamente somos.
SYMBOLISMOS Y SIGNIFICADOS:
En esta pieza, un autorretrato, una gran X cubre el rostro de Sintora. Este símbolo puede leerse desde dos ángulos complementarios:
1. Negación interior: un rechazo a todo aquello que distorsiona nuestra verdad interna, nacido desde lo más profundo de nosotros mismos.
2. Negación externa: todo lo prohibido o negado por fuerzas ajenas —la sociedad, la educación, la religión, la moral— que condicionan nuestra identidad.
El título, Axioma, remite a una verdad absoluta, una proposición evidente por sí misma, que no requiere ser demostrada ni cuestionada, que permanece inmutable incluso cuando es ignorada o rechazada. En esta obra, el axioma representa esa esencia original del ser, lo que somos antes de ser moldeados o domesticados, y esta representado por Sintora.
Alrededor de la imagen, hay escrito un salmo en forma cíclica, sin principio ni fin. No como un acto religioso, sino como una meditación visual. Este salmo representa la búsqueda constante y circular de nuestra verdad esencial y original.
Con esta obra, Sintora invita a reflexionar:
¿Qué parte de nosotros es realmente auténtica?
¿Qué hemos negado o nos han prohibido de nosotros mismos?
¿Qué debemos romper o despojar para reconectar con nuestra verdad interior?
¿Que es un Salmo? Un salmo es un texto poético de carácter sagrado que se utiliza para expresar devoción, gratitud o reflexión espiritual.
